After trial, you can choose:

How does AI dubbing work?

Upload your video, select one or more target languages, and Subclip generates dubbed voice tracks aligned to your original timing.

The dubbing pipeline is designed to preserve tone and context so translated output sounds natural, not word-for-word robotic. After generation, you can review and export the final cut.

AI dubbing uses credits (roughly 5 credits per minute per language). Credits are included by plan and can be topped up via pay-per-use on eligible plans. See [Pricing](/pricing) for current allocations.

What languages are supported for transcription and dubbing?

Transcription supports 48+ languages, and AI dubbing supports 21+ languages.

Supported dubbing languages include major creator markets such as Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Turkish, Dutch, and Polish.

Language availability expands over time based on usage and demand. If you need a specific language, contact support at contact@subclip.app.

How does motion design from prompts work?

Motion design in Subclip is prompt-first: describe the animation in plain text, and the system generates a ready-to-use output.

You do not need timeline keyframing, After Effects skills, or design software setup for basic branded motion pieces. This helps creators publish faster without leaving the platform.

Question 7

What are AI Credits and how are they used?

Accepted Answer

AI Credits are used for compute-heavy AI features, including dubbing, motion graphics, thumbnail generation, video analysis, and teaser post generation.

They are not used for unlimited features such as transcription and exports. Your included monthly or one-time credits depend on the plan you choose.

What is the difference between the Lifetime and Pro plans?

Accepted Answer

Lifetime is a one-time purchase intended for creators who want permanent access without recurring billing.

Pro is a recurring monthly plan designed for creators with ongoing AI usage and regular credit refresh. It is better for higher monthly dubbing/motion workloads.

Question 9

What is Subclip's refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Subclip offers a 15-day satisfaction guarantee.

To request a refund, email contact@subclip.app within 15 days of purchase and include your purchase details. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days.

After a refund is processed, the related license is deactivated. Requests submitted after the 15-day window are not accepted. Full legal policy is documented in [Terms of Service](/terms-of-service).

Question 10

Does Subclip store my video content?

Accepted Answer

For subtitle workflows, video processing is designed to run locally and Subclip does not store your source video files for transcription.

For YouTube scheduling workflows, uploaded media is temporarily stored in a private encrypted bucket only as long as needed for scheduled publishing, then removed automatically after successful publish (or on cancellation/disconnect).

What personal data does Subclip collect?

Accepted Answer

Subclip collects account identity data needed for access and support, such as email, name, and profile image (via Google Sign-In), plus service/usage telemetry for reliability and product improvement.

Payments are processed by Polar.sh, and Subclip does not store raw payment card details. For connected YouTube workflows, channel metadata and encrypted OAuth tokens are stored to support scheduled publishing.

Does Subclip comply with GDPR and CCPA?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Subclip supports GDPR and CCPA-aligned rights workflows.

If you are in the EU, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability where applicable. If you are a California resident, you can request disclosure/deletion and exercise CCPA rights. Subclip does not sell personal information.

How does YouTube publishing work in Subclip?

Accepted Answer

Subclip connects to YouTube through Google OAuth and requests only the scopes needed for channel read, upload, and metadata management during scheduled publishing.

With the connection active, Subclip can upload videos, apply metadata (title, description, tags, category, privacy status, thumbnail), and publish on schedule. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest and can be revoked at any time.

What devices and platforms does Subclip support?

Accepted Answer

Subclip works in the browser, so most creators can run core workflows without installing desktop software.

There is also a macOS app for Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and newer). At this time, Windows/Linux desktop apps and dedicated mobile apps are not part of the released stack.

What video formats does Subclip support?

Subclip supports major creator formats including MP4, MOV, AVI, and MKV, with high-resolution workflows up to 4K.

When needed, format handling/conversion is managed during ingest so you can continue editing and captioning without manual transcoding setup.

You can export final videos and also export subtitles as SRT for use in other editors.

How do I delete my Subclip account?

Accepted Answer

To request account deletion, email contact@subclip.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.

Subclip processes deletion requests within 30 days. Once completed, deletion is irreversible and active licenses are deactivated.

Can I use Subclip for commercial content?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You retain rights to content you create or process with Subclip and may use output for commercial publishing.

You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to underlying media and that your content complies with platform rules and applicable law (for example YouTube community/copyright requirements if you publish there).
