# What are AI Credits and how are they used?

Prompt editing with your own Claude, Codex, Cursor, or Grok subscription does not use Subclip AI Credits; credits apply to Subclip's AI video, image, audio, and voice generation, plus voice enhancement and background removal.

Prompt editing with your own Claude, Codex, Cursor, or Grok subscription does not use Subclip AI Credits; credits apply to Subclip's AI video, image, audio, and voice generation, plus voice enhancement and background removal.

Dubbing and voice cloning may also use credits. Your AI provider's own usage terms still apply. If you choose Subclip's AI gateway instead, its usage may consume Subclip AI Credits.

Regular timeline edits, captions, and video exports do not use AI Credits. See [Pricing](/pricing) for current credit allowances.
