On a near-black frame, 420 white seeds pop in from the center outward at the golden angle until they form a sunflower head. Then every 21st seed turns red and swells, a thin spine line fades in along that spiral arm, and a pulse travels from the center to the rim and repeats. The whole head turns slowly the entire time. The clip is about five and a half seconds.

You can change the number of seeds, the seed size, which seeds form the arm, the grow time, the pulse length, the rotation speed, and the background, seed and accent colors, plus playback speed and the background around the scene. Use it in a math or nature explainer, as a meditative background, a science channel intro or a music visual.
