On an orange frame, the word "Outline" appears as thin strokes tracing the real contours of each glyph, one letter after the next. Once the outlines are drawn, a fill wipes up inside every letter and the stroke fades into it, leaving solid type. It runs about two and a half seconds and uses the actual Inter font outlines.

You can set the text, the fill and stroke colors, font size, stroke width and the stagger between letters, and choose whether the letters fill in and whether the stroke stays. Use it for logo reveals, headline builds, educational titles and handmade-looking intros.

## How to use this template

1. Download Subclip for Mac or Windows. Every template on this page comes pre-installed.
2. Open the Templates panel, pick Outline Trace and drop it on your timeline.
3. Change the text, colors and timing in the layer settings, or ask the AI agent to edit it for you.
4. Export your video, or download the code to use the template in your own project.
