A running Game of Life simulation on a faint grid, where new cells flash in the accent color and dying cells shrink out.

On a near-black frame with a faint lattice, a seeded first generation of white cells holds for a moment. Then a new generation starts every five frames: newborn cells pop in as red tiles before turning white, and dying cells shrink away, so patterns grow, collide and fade across the 48-column grid. It runs for about ten seconds.

You can change the number of columns, the starting density, how long each generation lasts, the gap between tiles, the grid lattice, the seed, and the background, cell and accent colors, plus playback speed and the background around the scene. Use it as a coding or tech background, in a math or computer science explainer, as a generative art clip or as a loading or waiting screen.
