A pixel grid transition where square tiles grow to cover the whole frame and then shrink away, leaving a clean moment to cut between scenes.

It starts on a transparent layer, so your footage shows through. Square tiles appear in a grid and grow until they meet, filling the frame from the center outward, from the edges inward, or in a random scatter. The frame is fully covered between about 1.2 and 1.4 seconds, which is the moment to cut to the next clip underneath. Then the tiles shrink and clear away, finishing at 2.6 seconds.

Set the number of columns and rows to make the tiles bigger or smaller, pick the tile color, and choose the fill pattern: center, edges or scatter. The random variation value changes the scatter order. After a free sign-in you can copy or download the HTML for Claude, Codex or another AI coding agent, or use it in Subclip as a quick scene change, chapter break or reveal.
