Hand-drawn annotations point viewers at what matters: a wobbly circle around a button, an underline under a key phrase, a cursor gliding to a target, a sketch that draws itself on a whiteboard. This collection is for tutorial makers, educators and explainer editors who want marks that look drawn by hand rather than placed by software.

## Where annotations help

Tutorials and screen recordings are full of small details that viewers miss. Hand Drawn Scribble draws a wobbly circle with marker hatching, a curved connector and a handwritten label, ready to sit over a screenshot. Squiggle Marks draws handwritten underlines, a double strikethrough and bracket marks one after another. Outline Draw traces a rounded outline clockwise with a transparent center, so it frames whatever is underneath.

Cursors guide attention in UI walkthroughs. Oversized Cursor glides in, clicks a target that reacts, and leaves the frame. Multiplayer Cursor moves two to six named pointers around a shared focus ring, which suits collaboration features.

Sketches carry an idea. Whiteboard Bulb draws an idea bulb stroke by stroke with a traveling pen, and Whiteboard Rocket sketches a rocket with a launch message. Stitched Text Draw sews uppercase lettering with thread stitches and a leading needle. Callout card is a simple dark card with a small label and a bold key point.

## What makes a good annotation

It is small and short. An annotation supports the shot rather than replacing it, so it should draw in quickly, hold while the viewer looks, and get out of the way. It also needs contrast: a bright accent over a busy screenshot, or a dark stroke over a light one.

A little wobble helps. Lines that boil, meaning they shift slightly from frame to frame, read as handmade. Several templates let you turn that boil up or down and change the seed for a different wobble.

## What you can customize

Hand Drawn Scribble takes the subject, the label text, stroke type, connector and when the label appears. Squiggle Marks takes three lines of text. Outline Draw takes the drawing progress, line thickness, corner radius and accent color. Oversized Cursor takes the cursor style, target position and click label. The whiteboard templates take the sketch, caption, pen and accent color, plus an exit option. Multiplayer Cursor takes the number of cursors and their name labels.

All of them are pre-installed in Subclip, the desktop AI video editor for Mac and Windows, and the AI agent can edit them from a prompt such as "circle the export button and label it Start here".

## Engines and code

These annotations are HyperFrames templates, except Callout card, which is HTML & CSS. Every one has a code pack after a free sign-in: copy it with a prompt for Claude or Codex, or download a zip with the source, a README and agent instructions. The HyperFrames hand-drawn annotations page shows that engine's set alone.
