7 free generative art animation templates: Bauhaus builds, Mondrian splits, pendulum waves, phyllotaxis spirals and string art. Edit and export.

Generative art templates draw patterns from rules instead of keyframes: spirals that follow the golden angle, grids that split like a Mondrian painting, pendulums that drift in and out of phase. They make striking backgrounds, intros and loops for design, music and education videos.

## Patterns in this collection

Bauhaus Build stacks circles, squares and arcs into a poster composition, and Mondrian Split divides the frame into colored blocks. Pendulum Wave swings a row of pendulums into shifting waves, Phyllotaxis grows a sunflower spiral, Life Grid runs Conway's Game of Life, Isometric Build raises blocks in isometric view and String Art weaves lines between pins into curves.

## How to use them

Set colors to match your brand and use them as backgrounds behind titles, as loops for music and podcasts, or as visual breaks in design and math explainers. Because the patterns are computed from a few settings, small changes give very different results.

## 7 templates

- [Bauhaus Build](https://www.subclip.app/motion-graphics-templates/remotion/bauhaus-build) (Remotion, Generative Art): Flat Bauhaus shapes tumble corner over corner on a hidden grid into a poster-like frieze, then rebuild into two friezes around an empty band.
- [Mondrian Split](https://www.subclip.app/motion-graphics-templates/remotion/mondrian-split) (Remotion, Generative Art): Black lines divide the frame into a De Stijl grid, red, yellow and blue fill the cells, the grid shifts, and one cell pushes out to become the whole frame.
- [Pendulum Wave](https://www.subclip.app/motion-graphics-templates/remotion/pendulum-wave) (Remotion, Generative Art): Fifteen pendulum bobs that start in a line, drift into travelling waves, braids and zigzags, and realign at the end so the clip loops.
- [Isometric Build](https://www.subclip.app/motion-graphics-templates/remotion/isometric-build) (Remotion, Generative Art): A five by five isometric grid where blocks spring up diagonal by diagonal into a stepped sculpture, with one taller tower in the accent color.
- [Phyllotaxis](https://www.subclip.app/motion-graphics-templates/remotion/phyllotaxis) (Remotion, Generative Art): A sunflower pattern of 420 seeds that grows from the center at the golden angle, with one Fibonacci arm that lights up and pulses as the head turns.
- [Life Grid](https://www.subclip.app/motion-graphics-templates/remotion/life-grid) (Remotion, Generative Art): A running Game of Life simulation on a faint grid, where new cells flash in the accent color and dying cells shrink out.
- [String Art](https://www.subclip.app/motion-graphics-templates/remotion/string-art) (Remotion, Generative Art): Threads strung around a ring of pins draw a cardioid, then the multiplier eases up and the figure morphs into a nephroid and a three-cusp shape.
